Winchester Lookout Trip: A Magical Return to Winter
Just got this trip report from our friend Kael Martin. I’m incredibly jealous of the snow he got to shred last weekend. Heading deep into the Northern Cascade mountains provided an incredibly satisfying and refreshing start to the 2011/2012 snowboard season. Many uncertainties nearly hampered our trip plans, but in the end it all came together and we were thoroughly rewarded for our persistence. October Riding on Mt. Rainier
Hike on Rainier with Karakoram Splitboards from Walter Yi on Vimeo. Finally got around to posting this video our friend Walter Yi made of a couple of days in October on Mt. Rainier. We were rained out a couple of times, but eventually had a clear day to make it up to Camp Muir and ride down the entire snowfield. The riding isn't special, but the views are amazing and any riding in October is good to me. -Bryce
