Splitboarding is taking off. It’s really cool to see the progression of the equipment thats happening right now. Since meeting the Kloster brothers and checking out Karakoram, I was blown away with the passion they both had for innovative designs. After putting a season in on the Karakoram system it made sense to me to get on board with Karakoram.
Riding the Karakoram system you can tell the difference it makes in you riding. The bindings are great they are the lightest things out there. Five contact points on the binding keep me closer and gives me more response to my board. Interface to the ride mode plates is easy using the front hooks at your toes and locking it down with the heelstay pins and heel lever. When ready for the change over into tour mode the switch is easy and fast. The tour mode axle at the front of the binding fits perfectly into the touring brackets and when your hiking theres a solid connection and each step you take the system moves perfectly. Using the board clips you can tell your board is stiffer torsionally. Locking down the board clip theres no gap down the middle and forget about chatter. The board clips are so rad! Theres no way I could go back to hooks.
Look out the future is here.
